KIDZ POWER PACS
HELP FEED LOCAL CHILDREN!
Kidz Power Pacs provides food for school-aged children in Berkeley and Jefferson counties who might otherwise go hungry. On school days, these children receive food at school through various assistance programs, but those programs don’t offer meals when school is not in session. Kidz Power Pacs ensures that they have food on weekends, holiday breaks, and summer breaks--and you can help!
Feed a hungry child by donating food or helping pack meals. Donations are accepted at various local businesses, and meals are packed on the third weekend of most months at Eagle Intermediate School in Martinsburg, WV. For details about donating or packing, please visit http://communitycombined.org/kidz-power-pacs. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
HELP SERVE A MEAL TO THOSE IN NEED
Harvest Pointe works with Jefferson County Community Ministries to cook and serve a meal to those experiencing homelessness every fourth Thursday and fifth Tuesday of the month at various locations around Jefferson County. We do more than just provide a meal; we break bread, build relationships, share the Gospel, and pray with these people, showing God's love in practical ways.
Throughout the year, the homeless ministry also collects travel-size personal care items and warming items, such as socks, gloves, and blankets, to provide at these monthly meals.
The homeless ministry is looking for one or two small groups to join together each month to serve the meal, but you do not have to be part of a small group to get involved. If you are interested in providing food or other personal items, contact email@example.com.
